We are expanding our business to the UK. Pay-for-performance is our mission. After four years of successful online marketing business based in Germany for clients like 1822direkt, AOL, Douglas, OTTO, T-Mobile with continuous growth, we realize that presence in the market is a key success factor.

This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of our UK office. We are looking for an entrepreneur type of person able to handle two key business elements at the same time. Managing partner programmes as well as deliver excellent results selling our services to new clients.

The key features of the role are

  • responsible for managing partner programme in the UK and in the US on multiple affiliate networks
  • maintaining a strong relationship with top-tier affiliates. This will involve affiliate recruiting and daily programme management
  • closing business in pursuit of quarterly sales quotas
  • generating outbound sales pipeline in key market territories
  • fulfilling all aspects of successful sales cycles (RFP's, quotes, proposals, presentations, closing, reporting)

You will be established in your current business development role or looking for a the next level as an affiliate marketing manager and have a strong desire to take advantage of an international growing company. You will be able to demonstrate your credibility with a combination of

  • understanding of the online market
  • knowledge of online media models - CPM, CPC, CPA, etc
  • online and/or media services sales
  • sales success in a fast growing, competitive market
  • consistent over achievement within a defined territory/vertical
  • development of key accounts with a complex consultative sale
  • strong oral, written and presentation skills

You are responsible for managing partner programs in the UK and in the US on multiple affiliate networks and maintaining a strong relationship with top-tier affiliates. This will involve affiliate recruiting and daily program management as well as reviewing affiliate sites and ensure they adhere to guidelines.

The key features of the role are

  • responsibility for the affiliate inbox - respond to affiliate queries
  • segment affiliates according to performance and type of site. Assign categories to approved affiliates
  • responsible for the creative refresh process - brief Editorial/Design Team providing creative requirements and copy where necessary
  • write newsletter, e-mails, web site, affiliate platform etc. and submit
  • accountable for ongoing regular and ad-hoc affiliate reporting
  • investigate affiliates queries and affiliate network queries
  • maintain regular contact with affiliate network account manager and arrange monthly conference calls in addition to daily/weekly calls in order to improve affiliate program performance
  • contact top affiliates when necessary to assess their view on the affiliate programs
  • keep abreast of competitor activity and commission schemes
  • account manage top affiliates with a view to improving the working relationship and optimising sales and cross-border sales opportunities
  • work closely with Online marketing manager to source and upload tactical activity on Affiliate platform
  • regularly merchant contact to ensure timely promotions and creatives
  • send queries to affiliate network account manager or technical contacts and chase/troubleshoot where necessary
  • keep abreast of affiliate issues and industry news. Attend affiliate events where necessary
  • escalate issue to MD when necessary

Essential skills

  • must be self-managed person
  • must be highly numerate
  • understanding of the online market
  • must demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • strong communication and client facing skills
  • must be commercially/sales focused
  • knowledge of online media models - CPM, CPC, CPA, etc.

Desirable skills

  • experience of affiliate networks

Technical/Functional skills

  • knowledge of office system (MS Office, OpenOffice)
  • use of internet tools (google, yahoo, firefox, HTML)
  • advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

Other requirements

We are seeking a trainee for our affiliate marketing team.

Together with our affiliate marketing team you will be developing concepts and marketing actions for our clients in the UK. You will be responsible for the successful implementation and continuous enhancement of the affiliate programs.

You have basic sales skills and are communicative. You know how to handle spreadsheets. The internet is not new to you. You have a basic understanding of the technics used in the WWW.
